Licenses held

I am a Financial Adviser (FA), operating under Morton Delany Investment Consulting Ltd Financial Advice Provider (FAP) license. This is regulated by the Financial Markets Authority.

You can check licenses here www.fspr.govt.nz.

Types of Products and Providers

The main products I recommend are managed funds and may include unit trusts, KiwiSaver, Exchange traded funds or index funds. These will mainly be through a third party online platform.

I will recommend providers where the research takes me depending upon your needs.
In 2023 the types of providers I have recommended include (but are not limited to) Simplicity, Harbour Funds Management, Dimensional, iShares, Smartshares, ANZ, Booster, Pathfinder, Polar Capital, Kernel Wealth, to name a few.

When do you pay fees

One off fee: I charge a fee to write a personalised Investment Plan for you. The amount depends upon the complexity of the advice you need.

Ongoing: If you want ongoing advice after approving the Investment Plan, fees are paid monthly out of your investment account and are paid to Morton Delany for advice, and an independent custodian for administering and holding funds. Detailed information is always provided to you before you commit to any investment.

Complaints Procedures

Should you have a complaint about any part of our service, please put this in writing to sarah@mortondelany.co.nz in the first instance. You will get a response in writing, and if a resolution cannot be reached, an external disputes resolution service will be used. Morton Delany currently use the Insurance and Financial Services Ombudsman. For a more detailed disclosure please email sarah@mortondelany.co.nz
